After physio today (where i spent fiveteen minutes in traction - ouch - and it didn't even make me taller!) and a short rest, me and M went food shopping. I was oddly looking forward to this for some strange reason connected to the being housebound other than medical appointments most of the time.
This was made strange, and somewhat interesting, by the fact we had borrowed one of the superstores wheelchairs to get me around ,mainly because M hates doing my shopping for me - due to the food allergies I have to eat somewhat different foods to him - as he never knows what to get me.
The wheelchair came with the special trolley, which clipped onto the front, and made something already not very mobile vehicle, into an even more immobile vehicle! The reactions from people were odd, there was a mixture of stares and odviously avoiding looking. The staff were courteous and helpful. The only person who didn't look at me like a complete freak was a little girl, about 7, who just smiled at me and waved. I can't believe that in this day and age people, well adults, can't not stare at someone using a wheelchair.
On the up side, I was pretty good at wheeling myself about and my arms only started to ache when I got home again.
Tomorrow its the doctors again and working on my needlecase for the CQForNewbies swap.

Spider webs . I will try to make this as un-complicated as possible....
First I pick my centre, then make the arms to whatever points i choose. I just do one long, straight stitch. Then, starting just out from the centre on one of the arms, bring the needle up through the fabric, take your needle UNDER the thread (arm), catching a little bit (one or two threads) as you go, then repeat that around the same arm.You can decide whether or not you need to go the the fabric both times, but it does seem to keep the arms nice and straight. Take the thread to the next arm, and just keep doing the same. This catches and couches down the arms as you go. This is how I do it, it is by no means right. Ask on the list, someone may have a way better idea.
Hope this helps. Email me if you need more, maybe I could do a piccie or something.
